Second in Class!!!

Today, Marcus was beaming inside the car on the way home. He says he has something to show us. It was a card from his form teacher. We can feel that he is very happy about his achievement when he show it to us. Well, of course we are proud of him being second in the class. But the jokes was that his results was not really that wonderful. I guess the standard in the class is not that high. Hee Hee...Let's hope he can do better next time. *_*
His maths was 82/100. Highest in class was 86 but there was a full mark somewhere in other classes. English was a bit short of Band 1. He got 84/100. Chinese is currently 77/80 as we do not know his oral marks. The irony here is that he should get highest for Maths and lowest for Chinese but it ended up as the opposite. Haiz...But in my view, the Chinese paper was too easy and the Maths was a little bit tricky. The best comforting issue is that he now like Chinese and no longer reject it. So it is quite a blessing in disguise I guess...

Photos at recent wedding dinner

This photo was taken at Marina Mandarin during Pamela's wedding dinner. We had waited for quite a while and felt bored and hence we started taking out the camera for some "fun".

Here are the boys with their aunties. Well, I guess all kids enjoyed games and find it more interesting than wedding dinner. Ha Ha Ha...So in the end, the four of them took turns at fun on the PSP. ^_^

First experience as mummy for kids' Exams

Marcus had his last paper for his Primary 1 Exams yesterday. The path of preparation is certainly not easy. I had him on sort of a "crash course" about a month ago. I always thought he was doing ok in school. But boy...I was wrong. He can do his work well but if you ask him to explain why this and why that, he cannot explain it well. And he tends to forget what he learnt very fast. There were many things which I had to teach him again and again...I guess it was also my fault for not monitoring him well. Hence, I guess I had to drag him to "hug the buddha feet" and undergo the "crash course".

Well, anyway, the stress is over for now. I guess it is ok to relax for a while. He told us that he got 51.5/60 marks for his English Paper 2. Hmm...Not so good as it meant that we are drifting away from his target of 85 marks. Haiz...But on the other hand, I guess it is ok since he learnt most of the things so called last minute...Guess I cannot be too picky lah...
