This year is the first year that I was out of Singapore during National Day. We have a family trip to Cameron Highlands comprising 15 members of the Chua Family. We took the local tours which bring us around to see what Cameron Highlands got to offer. The weather was generally good and cooling. Quite cold on the day of arrival but overall still cool temperature. The boys were dressed more than needed as I wanted to keep them warmer than usual. I do not want to risk them getting into any coughing/catching a cold from the cool weather.
Here is a picture taken over the tea planation when we visit the BOH tea planation.
I snapped this picture on the way. The workers had snipped the tea leaves and collected them in bags from the planation and are pouring them out and putting them into big bags.
Part of the free tour given was to bring us to a Rose Centre. It costs RM5 for each adult and it was free for my kids. Actually, there was nothing fabulous inside. In the end, it was more of photo taking fun for my boys as they take turns taking photos of flowers and us. Here is a picture of them with a man's head inside the rose centre.
I took this picture because I found this rose special and beautiful. It was a mix of red and white. Lovely.

This was actually taken in a cactus farm. This is a cactus which is flowering. Interesting...
Another flower which I took in Rose Centre. I like the blending of the red and white. ^_^

This was also taken at the cactus farm. This flower is quite interesting. It grows in pairs. What does it looks like to you? A pair of ear rings for the ladies!!
My favorite flower, Gerbera.
This flower is also cute. What do you see? It actually looks like ladies shoes...
We also went to a hydroponics farm. What you see behind me are big lettuce which are twice the size of my head. They look super yummy and crispy. They were grown with water from the mountain and filled with nutrients.

A picture of the butterhead lettuce.

This is the original cabbage before the farmers remove the leaves "outside". It looks really big as well.

Here is a pic of cheeky Bryan all ready to pluck his strawberries. Or, shall I say, cut strawberries. Ha Ha Ha...

This is the "dripping" tomatoes which was taken in the cactus farm. They look so lovely there falling from the top. I wonder if they are delicious???

Well, we did have a great trip there. The boys were generally well behaved. The coach ride is really not easy and can be tiring. The way down the highland was terrible as the road was very curvy. It can be quite giddy. The ride home took around 11 hours but we all went home with happy memories and sweet yummy corns!!! ^_^
