Today is Day 2 of CNY and we were out almost the whole day. After a quick dinner at my brother-in-law house, we went to my dad's place as most of my cousins are there for visiting. So there were 4 boys and 6 girls over there (inclusive of my 2 sons). They were all in a room where there were toys for them to play.
Bryan came running out later and crying softly saying that someone hit him in the eye with a toy. I reckon it was a toy gun which shoots out a flying spin. I guess it hit him unintentionally. So we cool him down and tell him it is ok. About 10 mins later, we heard a big cry from the room. One of my cousin's daughter who is about P5 is crying. Apparently, Bryan had thrown a plastic ball into her eyes.
Ok, no need to say. I ended up scolding my son and making him say sorry. And the girl was non-stop till she went back.
We finally realised later that my son was "taking revenge" cos he feels that he got "beaten" by her. Haiz...Everyday I tell my sons not to beat people. Tell me if other people beat you....So here is my son coming to me telling me and yet I brush him off. Imagine if I went in and ask who "hit" my son...Then the ending will be different cos the girl will have to say sorry to my son...
My feel of lesson is that I need to listen to my son and not always let things pass. I need to stand up for him.
My hubby's feel of lesson is "If you cry loud, you win"....HAHAHAHA.....^_^
I guess there are still so much more for me to learn in the path of motherhood. Got to keep it up!!!
