Macau/Hong Kong Family Trip Day 4

We went to ShenZhen on Day 4. We had breakfast at our favorite restuarant there with Dim Sum and then Ah Gong went off to do his shopping for his business. We went ahead with our own shopping but most of the things are imitations and there was no special need for anything. We ended up buying just some clothes and had lunch at the same place having our Peking duck. It was so delicious and yummy. We ended the day with a McDonald meal as I think the boys were sick of congee and noodles. Ha Ha Ha...

Macau/Hong Kong Family Trip Day 3

We had a simple but nice breakfast in this small cafe. The boys had noodles while the adults had porridge. Delicious...The jackets in the pics are the ones which we bought over there as it was too cold. ^_^

This was taken at the Senado Square. There was nothing much to do today as it was check out day from Macau and check in day to Hong Kong. We had stayed in Sintra Hotel. It was not fantastic but location was good. We finally bought 1 pork chop bun to try among all of us. We did not want to initially as it just look like a pork in a bun. Well, I guess it makes sense to try it since we were there. Frankly, it was nothing special. Just a pork chop with pepper in a butter bun. And it even comes with the pork chop bone in it!!!

Bryan was sitting on the luggage while waiting for the ferry to HK. We checked into Novotel Nathan Road and went for lunch. My parents seems very tired and hence we decided to rest till dinner time. We brought the boys out to temple street and were checking out Mario toys before going to ShenZhen. We met with my parents at dinner time and went to the famous claypot rice at Temple Street. But it was a weekend and the queue was super long...We gave up and ended up eating in another place along the way back to hotel.

Macau/Hong Kong Family Trip Day 2

Day 2 in Macau - According to news, the temperature is low with roughly close to 10 degrees. We had to wrap the boys up warmly. As we did not lose money to the casino on Day 1, we decided to buy some warmer jackets for the boys (not directly related...hahaha).

We met my dad's friends, Uncle Anthony and Auntie Jess. They were very warm people and friendly too. They brought us around and the pic below was taken with all of us (minus my hubby of course)...

This was taken at the St. Paul's. There was a wired staircase which you can climbed up. Han Tiong climbed up with Bryan. I gave up halfway with Marcus as my legs had gone JELLIED...It was too scary for me.

This pic was taken on top of the fort. We were telling the boys that they can look but cannot lean over the yellow lines. :) We splitted from my dad, Uncle Anthony and Auntie Jess as they were more into antiques and we're into shopping. We had noodles for lunch and then managed to buy the "fat fat" jackets for the boys.

Typical singaporeans do not go back with no gifts. My parents were in the famous shop buying almond biscuits, preserved stuffs and we waited outside. The shop was very generous with food samples and gave each of us one whole piece of almond biscuits. The boys were trilled...Hee Hee...Free Food.

Dinner was at Venetian. We had to take 2 hotel bus transfer to reach. Bryan fell asleep totally and was not able to wake up at all. It was the worse 30 mins of the whole trip for me as I was the one carrying him. He was really heavy as he is totally switched off!!! To be frank, it was not really worth the trip as it was more of a high end mall and not for us. Guess it is for people who won at the casino and to spend their money there... :>

Macau/Hong Kong Family Trip Day 1

Our Hong Kong Trip was planned for from 27 Nov to 3 Dec. The primary reason was just to take a break and bring the boys overseas. After discussing various locations, it was still Hong Kong for the time being as the boys are still young. So off we went to Hong Kong again...We were there also when Marcus was 3 years old...

Here is a pic of Marcus and Bryan cheekily letting me take a pic of them when we were waiting for our taxi in the morning. We had booked a maxicab to ferry all 6 of us to the airport. The ride was exciting for the boys as there was TV on the cab and it was showing their favorite cartoon TOM and JERRY...Ha Ha Ha...

This was taken at the children's playground at Terminal 3. Marcus is watching the TV while we are waiting for the time to board the plane. The boys were surprisingly well behaved on the plane. Both ate the lunch on board which was fish nuggets, ribena, chocolate cake and ice cream. Just when they get bored with the TV on board, they started buying computer games.

We had planned for Macau for Day 1. Thus, we had to take the TurboJet from HK airport to Macau. The transit waiting time was about 2 hours. Luckily we went prepared with the PSP and was spared of tantrams from the boys. I cannot imagine them sitting still for 2 hours. ^_^

We finally reached Macau evening time but it was very cold. I guess it was because it is near the sea and we could not take it. We had steamboat for dinner and went back to sleep. It was too cold to do anything else. My parents looked after the boys and we went to the casino to try our luck. End result was no gain, no loss.
