Balloting at Chong Fu Primary School

I was busy with work and had not posted for quite some time. We had registered Marcus during Phase 2C for P1 registration at Chong Fu Primary School.

7 Aug is the date of balloting. There were 117 applicants for the remaining 67 seats in this school. The ballot started at 230pm with the teachers showing and reading one by one of the applicant's name and birth cert number. Wow, they were really slow and it was a long wait.

Before going, I told hubby that maybe we should not go because I am quite jinxed. I had observed that on the many occasions of lucky draw in Novo Nordisk, I always get something when I was not around and the draw was done by someone else. If I am there, I always get nothing.

But I thought maybe I should not believe this and since hubby was on leave so we decided to attend.

The school asked for 17 parents to volunteer in doing the draw. By the 20th kids drawn, Marcus name was still not there. My hubby signal me and ask me to go buy a drink. I refuse to go as I do not believe that I am so jinxed...

We waited and waited but still no luck. When it was down to 54th kid, I could not take it anymore. I walked out of the hall and went quietly to the tuckshop below. After a while, it seems that I heard my son's name being called. But I did not dare to go up....Well, if it is drawn, I'm sure my hubby will come down and tell me.

2 mins later, he came down and says "It is confirmed you lah"...WOW! Marcus name was drawn at the 56th place. Upon hearing this, there were tears of joy and relieve from me.

Well, the good thing is Marcus got in and the "bad" thing is --- I had once confirmed that I am sort of jinxed.... ^_^

So you know what....Don't ever share to buy TOTO with me. :)
